At Metrade, we are committed to providing high-quality pipe and flow control solutions for industries that demand strength, precision, and reliability. Our weld neck flanges are engineered for the most demanding applications, ensuring secure, long-lasting connections in your piping systems.
A weld neck flange is one of the most widely used types of flanges in the pipeline industry, and it’s essential for applications that require strong, leak-proof connections in both high-pressure and high-temperature systems.
A Weld Neck Flange consists of a circular fitting with a protruding rim around the circumference. Regular weld neck flanges are used with butt-welding fittings. Long weld neck flanges are primarily used for vessel and equipment nozzles, rarely for pipe. Weld Neck Flanges are suitable to use in hostile environments that have extreme of temperature, shear, pressure or other sources of stress. They are usually forged and then are typically butt-welded to a pipe which successfully transfers stress away from the flange and onto the pipe instead.
Weld neck flanges are also known for their durability and ability to handle high-pressure systems. They are used when the integrity of the pipe connection is crucial, particularly in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, and marine applications.
