Blind Flange

At Metrade, with years of experience, we provide expert advice on the right flange solutions for your applications. Spectacle Blind Flanges, also known as Spectacle Blinds or Spade and Spacer flanges, are used to block off or isolate a section of a pipeline. They consist of two parts: a spacer (a flat, circular disc) and a blind (a solid disc with no holes). These components are welded or bolted into place and are commonly used to shut off the flow of fluid, provide a temporary or permanent seal, and allow easy bypassing of flow when required.
Spectacle Blind Flanges are typically installed in systems where flow diversion or isolation is necessary, such as in maintenance or pressure testing situations. They offer a simple and effective way to isolate specific sections of piping without having to remove the entire flange assembly.
