Tee

At Metrade, we offer Buttweld Fitting Tees that are integral to creating reliable, efficient, and high-performance piping systems for a wide range of industries. Our tees are designed for seamless and robust connections in pipelines, allowing you to effectively control the flow of liquids, gases, and other materials through your system.
A Tee is a pipe fitting used to create a branch connection in a pipeline. It allows for a split of flow into multiple directions, providing crucial functionality in piping systems. Buttweld Tees are welded directly to the pipe, ensuring long-term reliability, minimal pressure loss, and a streamlined flow path. These fittings are commonly used in the oil & gas, chemical processing, water treatment, power generation, and HVAC industries.
Types of Buttweld Fitting Tees –
1.Equal Tee (Straight Tee):
The Equal Tee has three equally sized openings, making it perfect for splitting the flow between pipes of the same diameter. This is ideal for most industrial applications where uniform distribution of flow is required.
2.Reducing Tee (Branch Tee):
The Reducing Tee is designed when the branch pipe needs to be a different size than the main pipe. This fitting enables the diversion of flow into a smaller pipe, essential for applications where reduced flow is required or different-sized pipe systems need to be connected.
3.Lateral Tee:
The Lateral Tee is a pipe fitting that facilitates the diversion of fluid or gas from the main pipe to a branch line at a lateral (non-90-degree) angle. Unlike traditional equal or reducing tees, lateral tees are typically used in situations where the branch pipe must be installed at a specific angle, often between 30 and 45 degrees, to achieve better flow direction control, or to fit within a constrained space.
